The traditional version of the Reuben is a hot sandwich of layered meat, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese, with a dressing. The ingredients are grilled between slices of pumpernickel or rye. The meat is either corned beef or pastrami, and the dressing is either Russian or Thousand Island. There are several accounts of the origin of the Reuben…From Reuben Kulakofsky in Omaha to Arnold Reuben in New York, all dating back to the first part of the 20th century.

Lon & Stewart Lane have maintained the integrity of this old world creation with a fresh, updated version to include a House-Crafted Corned and Smoked Beef Shank, Cured Salmon Pastrami, Sauerkraut and Warm German style Potato Salad “In the Kitchen” at Inspired Occasions.
